Reading Tutor
One of the most rewarding volunteer experiences that I've done is to help at a local elementary school in helping kids develop their reading skills. I spent one on one time with different kids helping them with various techniques to make reading easier for them. Ultimately, one of the parents asked me to work more with her son, which I did. I saw him grow and gain more confidence in just a few weeks.
I highly recommend contacting your school and offering to help. I did mine right there in the classroom. I just became part of their day.

True service
I like to train small kids with lots of love and care by which they learn the beauty of love and peace. In my place there is orphanage where i visit once in a week and spent time with those young children and provide them some basic needs. Even i try to educate them on the moral values and social behavior which will be a great hope of success to them.
This is the kind of thing
This is the kind of thing that I think would suit me well as a volunteer. My mum is a teacher at a primary school and I think it's such a shame that children who need one on one attention simply cannot have it.
I would imagine that there is a stringent process to go through first before being approved for this kind of voluntary work too.
It depends on the situation.
It depends on the situation. I did go through a training course at the time. Depending on where you are, teaching assistants are often needed to help out. That can lead to unforeseen opportunities to help children.
