Giving your money to a worthy cause can be just as fulfilling as rolling up your sleeves and getting involved. Sometimes your money can actually go a lot further by enabling others and getting the resources closer to where they are needed the most.

When you are donating, be sure to find out how your money will be used, how much of the your money (exactly what %) will go to the beneficiary and what portion will be used for administration and overhead.

Donating comes in many forms, two of the most common forms are:

1- Direct donation - you give money to a cause that is important to you
