Current inspirers

Waqar Ali: Hi, i am proud of be building this website with the help of several dedicated volunteers. During the day, i am a management consultant with Bain & Company in New York. I have always been passionate about volunteering and community service and want to build this site to facilitates dialogue between volunteers and non profits. Prior to Bain, i was attending Harvard Kennedy School of Government and MIT Sloan School of Management earning graduate degrees in Public Administration and MBA. My family comes a little village in the North Western Frontier Province of Pakistan but we have lived abroad most of our lives (Turkey, Dubai and the US). I feel fortunate for having all the opportunities to work, travel and study and i want to give back as much as i can. Nothing excites me more than hearing about volunteering stories and seeing their eyes light up when they talk about their experiences.


Rajesh Bhusal "Robin" - Director of International Inspiration: Hi, I live in Yangon, Myanmar, and I am currently student in Yangon International School. I started to volunteer because others are in need of help, and I felt like I should do whatever I can in order to help people in my community in some ways. This was one of the main reasons the Shwe Pyi Thar Tutoring group started. The joy we get from helping others differ from one person to another, but the similar thing we all feel in our hearts when we know that we are making a difference in the community and the people is sheer happiness. Surely, there are no other feelings similar to this.
